How we protect your data
A risk management tool that leaks your credentials is worse than useless. Here is exactly how LossGuardian handles your data.
Local-first storage
Your broker API tokens, trade logs, and risk rules are stored only on your machine never on our servers. If our servers were compromised tomorrow, there is nothing about you or your trading to steal.
OS Keychain for credentials
Tokens are stored in your operating system's native secure keychain (Windows Credential Manager on Windows, Keychain on macOS). Only LossGuardian, running as you, can read them. No other app, no network call, no us.
No cloud tracking
We do not run analytics on your trades, positions, or P&L. We have no idea what you trade, how much you make or lose, or what brokers you use. Cloud sync is opt-in and end-to-end encrypted, we cannot read it even if we wanted to.
Signed local audit log
Every alert fired and every limit breached is written to a tamper-evident local log. The software blocks your screen, never your account, and it places no orders. You can verify exactly what it did and when.
Vulnerability disclosure
Found a security issue? Please email support@lossguardian.com with details. We will respond within 48 hours and work with you on responsible disclosure. We do not pursue legal action against good-faith researchers.
